Health & Safety
LEL believe that health and safety should have equal importance to quality, cost production and morale. We accept responsibility for providing a working environment that is safe and without risk to the health of our employees, customers and members of the public.
LEL will take all reasonably practicable steps to meet this responsibility paying particular attention to:
- All legislative Acts of Parliament appertaining to Health and Safety and the Environment, which come within the influence of our employees, customers and the public.
- The provision and maintenance of plant and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health, to employees and any other person likely to be affected by our work activities.
- Proper arrangements for use, handling, storage and transportation of articles and substances
- The provision of training, instruction, information and supervision to assist our employees in avoiding injury not only to themselves but also to others.
- The provision of a safe place to work and an environment which does not present a risk to the health of any person/s
This can only be successful with the active co-operation of all our employees. LEL therefore believe that it is the responsibility of all it's employees to perform their assigned duties by following agreed and established safe working practices and procedures, using the appropriate equipment that is fit for purpose and by reporting or correcting unsafe acts or conditions.
